Senior Pastor
Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth – pastordennis@sbc-va.org
Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth attended Liberty University (1978-1983) where he earned his B.S. in Pastoral Ministries. This was followed by his continuing education at Bethany Theological Seminary (1984-1990) where he earned his Master of Ministry. Further degrees were earned at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (1998-2003 where he earned his M.A. in Religion) and Covington Theological Seminary (2003-2007 where he earned his Doctor of Ministry).
Dennis grew up in York County before moving to Mathews County at the age of 13. After his graduation from Liberty University in 1983 he was ordained in that same year. He has pastored four growing churches in North Carolina and Virginia over the past 27 years. Dennis came to Seaford Baptist Church in 2010 and has a vision to win this area, rich in American history, to Christ through evangelism, expository preaching, and strong children’s and youth ministries.
Dennis is married to Dorine and they have two children, Nathan and Amy.
Youth Minister
Michael Howard – mhoward@sbc-va.org
Michael was born and raised in Powhatan, VA. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. Upon graduation, he attended Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, which he graduated from in 2009 with a Master of Arts in Religion with an emphasis on Evangelism and Church Planting.
Before coming Seaford Baptist, Michael served at various churches in student ministry. His first position was at Old Powhatan Baptist Church in Powhatan, VA, where he served as a Student Ministry Intern from 2005-2007. While at seminary, Michael was the Student Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Naruna, VA from 2007-2008. From December of 2009 to August of 2011, Michael was the Student Pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. Michael arrived at Seaford Baptist in October of 2011 with a calling to reach the students and college-age adults of York County for Christ and to see them glorify God in their daily lives.
Michael and his wife Katie have one son, Beckett Rhodes Howard, who was born in August 2011.
