In Touch

A member’s husband had a doctor’s appointment & the member was not able to get that person to the doctor by herself. The In Touch Ministry went to its list of volunteers and set up a schedule to have someone come and drive the husband to the doctor and bring them back home.

A member of the church had surgery and did not belong to Sunday School. The In Touch Ministry set up a schedule of people to bring meals to that member while they were recuperating. This member did not have any family in the area and their children were too little to help out.

An older member of the church had leaves that needed to be raked in the fall to clean up their yard. They were unable to do the work for themselves. They also did not feel free to come and ask for help. Another one of the church members knew of this need and contacted the In Touch Ministry. A crew of people were set up to go out and work in the member’s yard one Saturday.

A member of the church does not drive and needs to go to the grocery store to get food; her family is out of town for two weeks on vacation. They contacted the church office, which in turn contacted the In Touch Ministry to arrange for someone to take this person to the store.

Wouldn’t you like to be part of a ministry that helps those who need our help? It is a way to show God’s love to others as he has shown His love to us. This ministry is also a way for you to get help for someone you may know is in need but does not want to be a burden to someone and ask for the help themselves.

The following are the areas in which you may volunteer for the In Touch Connection.
