Worship Ministry of Seaford Baptist Church

The worship ministry of Seaford Baptist Church provides high energy contemporary worship for our three major worship services. We sing at least one traditional hymn per service but we clearly favor a heavy dose of new praise and worship music. The various musical organizations provide lots of opportunity for members and attendees to put to use their God given abilities and talents in the service of the kingdom. Our orchestra accompanies our two Sunday morning services and they rehearse from 7:45-9:00 PM on Wednesdays. Our Adult Choir sings in each morning service and rehearses from 7:45-9:00 PM Wednesdays. Our worship band leads our Mid-Week worship service and rehearses from 5:00-6:00 PM on Sundays. We also utilize many soloists and vocal worship teams who primarily participate in the Adult Choir. We offer specific musical experiences for children K-5 during part of our Mid-Week Worship service from 7:00-7:30 PM on Wednesdays. We also utilize many musicians in our student, children’s, women’s and men’s ministries.

We also offer a Drama Ministry that provides dramas on an occasional basis for Sunday morning worship and other church events.

The entire worship ministry presents a Christmas presentation each year that draws many from our community. This is really an entire church effort. The Christmas production each year calls on the efforts of 200 plus individuals who put in 1,000’s of volunteer hours. This requires the all the skills needed to put on a theatrical production.

Our current worship staff involves some paid but mostly volunteer help. We are greatly blessed to have such gifted volunteer help.

The purpose of the worship ministry at Seaford Baptist Church is to help people encounter God in such a way that they fall in love with Him, and desire to passionately worship, follow and serve Him.
