Sunday School
Join us for Sunday School! We have classes for everyone.  For your children, infant through 12th grade, there are age appropriate classes with caring and dedicated teachers.  For adults, there are many choices – we encourage you to visit any one of the following classes that interests you:

College & Career (18-25) – Stay connected with the body through this weekly discipleship time led by Mike and Marcia Berry. A great place to stay grounded in God’s word as you pursue all that lies ahead.

Young Couples – This class led by Mike & Barb Hall offers guidance and warm fellowship with Bible study and group discussion. They meet in the fellowship hall (near the coffee!!) Take a look at a wide range of relevant topics.

Not Necessarily Couples – This blend of singles and couples taught by Bryan Dunn is currently studying 'The Words and Works of Jesus Christ: A Study of the Life of Christ' by J. Dwight Pentecost. This is a chronological look at the life of Christ through the Gospel records. Everyone is welcome!

Adult I – Wondering what to do with the rest of your life? Consider joining this group of mostly 30s and 40s, as they look at Bob Buford’s book Halftime. Revaluate your life course and explore all God truly means for you to be.

Adult III – Currently involved in an in depth study of the book of John. This class taught by Woody Woodfin has members in a wide range of ages and stages.

Median Adult (Ageless Wonders!) – An energetic mix of primarily couples, this 50+ age group enjoys great Bible study and Christian fellowship. Led by John Coats they are currently looking into the minor prophets.

Median Adult Women (Steadfast Class) – This ladies’ class studies issues relevant to Christian women today with in-depth study of God’s word. Taught by Ann Westberry.

Ruth's Praying Hands Class –  These senior adult ladies show Christ’s love in action as they care for each other. Fellowship & the teaching of God’s word are key. Taught by Emma Fischer & Shirley Rawls.

Jessup Bible Class – These senior adult men meet together to study God’s word. They often have lively discussions, and are led by Mr. Ragans, Mr. Powers and Mr. Cole.

Women’s Bible Study – This class led by Donna Hines invites women of all ages to study God’s word in a small group setting. Currently they are studying the book of Colossians.

Worship Center Class – With a welcome to anyone – this class meets in the upper foyer of the Worship Center Atrium. Teacher, Tim Marshall is currently leading a study of Old Testament Stories You Should Know.

Life in the Spirit Class – Are you looking for a Sunday School class with a sense of humor? Christ Centered? Consider joining this class led by Carol Baker as they take a look at John Ortberg’s book Everybody’s Normal Until You Get to Know Them. Find tools for living in community as God designed.

The Last Christian Generation – This class led by Tom Gilson looks at what is going on in our culture and its effect on the next generation. It’s filled with biblical and very practical advice on how to make sure that the kids we know and love will not have to be facing the last Christian generation. This 13 week class begins June 3rd, please come join in at any time.

The Ascent of a Leader – How Ordinary Relationships Develop Extraordinary Character and Influence. This book deals with the greatest risks any of us can face: humility, transparency, and sacrifice. You will be challenged in unique ways to view your calling with a new perspective. Led by Kenny Roberts and Sam Dempsey, this is a class you should check out!

 

Short Term Electives

Seaford 101 – What does it mean to be part of the body at Seaford?  This 4 week class led by Pastor Gene Cornett will help those new to Seaford understand the heart & vision of our church.  Offered many times throughout the year. Check your bulletin or call the church office for dates (during Sunday School (9:45 am)).

Seaford Connection – This 2 week class is designed especially for those who would like to take a closer look at who we are and what we believe. Offered this fall this class is taught by Gene Cornett and facilitated by Randy & Tracee Vaught.

Seaford 101 for Kids – This 4 week class taught by our children’s pastor, Aaron West, is for children who are new believers in Christ. The goal is to help children understand what it means to be a Christian while equipping them to serve Christ for the rest of their lives. This class will be offered again in the fall.
